This is a great, comfortable, hotel in a cool NYC neighborhood convenient to three train lines and the airport. The staff is polite and responsive. Everything functions well: shower, tv, internet. It's a quiet place to sleep and work too.

The cupcakes we got on arrival were a nice touch, but the staff was very friendly, and the bartending staff were outstanding. the room was a good size for the price (c'mon, its New York), with plenty of storage. We will definitely return.

Good: -Relatively quiet- I was only on the 3rd floor and with the window unit, I didn't really hear a lot of city noise. -Checked for bed bugs- none were found. -Convenient mid-town location. -Pretty decent price for NYC. - Free internet -Pretty clean, bathroom floor was a little dirty, but shower was clean and beds were clean. -Whole building is smoke free! Bad: - No individual soaps - just squirt machines in shower. I honestly thought that the shower gel and shampoo looked the same and smelled the same. It's hard to bring liquids on planes, otherwise, I'd bring my own. -I came in early for my flight and they told me 2PM to check-in for my room (they held my bag though), but someone came in right after and they told her an hour and she was checking in like me. I don't know if she had some preferred treatment or paid them, but don't count on getting in early and finding a room to put your stuff in.
