Dont go in mid October

Everything is closed for repair in mid October. No gondola, no ice skating, no rafting, nothing. The hallways are dirty, and we had a pile of used towels in a see through plastic bag outside our room for the three days we were there. Disgusting. Also, a pile of phone books sat on the floor, in the hall all weekend. We had a two bedroom suite which was nice, and the location is central to the area. But it needs an overall. The fireplaces in the room are a light switch that turns on aflame and the fire itself is enclosed in glass. Not exactly what I was picturing in the "wood burning fireplace"

When it comes to location you couldn't find a better hotel. Everyone was very helpful. If you need to rent ski wear you have several choices right outside the lobby doors. Also, it is just two blocks to the casino's. The kitchen's are well equiped with everything you need. The ski lift is also just right outside. If we ever get back to south lake tahoe again we will definitly stay there!

We stayed in a one bedroom suite and we were upgraded to a ridiculously large 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom for no extra charge. The kitchen was well-appointed and almost lavish, and the rest of the suite was very nice as well. I just couldn't believe how BIG the suite was! We would definitely stay here again.

Booking on line is sometimes iffy, but we really hit a winner here. Staff was friendly, Conceaire very helpful and informative of what to do and where to go, valet service great (had to pay for this service either way so why not?) Beautiful hotel, lovely room. Our room was called a studio, but had 2 Queen sized beds, small kitchen, bathroom, eating area. It was very clean and spacious. Had all the amenities plus child activities area, pool, exercise room, dining. We would loved to have stayed longer. Will stay again, definitely!
