We have stayed at several hotels in New Orleans throughout the years, but this was our first time at Loews Hotel during Labor Day weekend. As soon as we drove up, the valet attendants were immediately ready to unload our luggage. We were very impressed with the service and proceeded to check-in the hotel. Very fast check-in and we were in our rooms within minutes. The room was very spacious and comfortable with a great view. Hotel is directly across from Harrahs Casino Hotel. The bathroom is large with a separate shower and tub, which is very nice. The hotel is within walking distance from Harrahs Casino Hotel, and close to the Riverwalk Mall. We walked to the French Quarter, and French market and enjoyed the leisurely walk through Royal street, but you can take the trolley nearby if you desire. Highly recommend this hotel if you want the experience of New Orleans without the loud noise off Bourbon Street. We will definitely stay again! Also, very pet friendly! One suggestion, do not go to Mother's restaurant across the street from Loews. You have to wait in-line to get in the small restaurant and you will pay around $10 per person for the worst breakfast. No service is provided and you stand in-line to order and then stand in another line for coffee, juice, etc. You pay and then go to a table and wait for your order. The breakfast was the worst breakfast we ever had and the set up is horrible with the waitstaff bringing food back and forth. If I had stood up, food would have been spilled on me. We did not enjoy our experience of this so called famous restaurant and will never go back.

Stayed at the Loews for a Spring Break get away w/ my wife and daughters (13 & 15) Fabulous experience! We arrived early (1030am) and our room was ready! Checking in was a breeze. The staff were very friendly and handled all of our needs quickly and courteously. The room was huge & the view was fantastic. My wife and daughters loved the bathroom. After a brief walk around the French Quarter, we returned to our room to find a tray of cookies & milk left for us and the sounds of jazz. ..what a nice touch for our first evening in N.O.! The concierge was extremely helpful and booked all of the tours we wanted to go on. The hotel is within easy walking distance of just about everything....and we tried to see everything! When we return to New Orleans, this will be where we will stay.

Everything about the Loews was great. We arrive in New Orleans around 11am so that we could take our son to the Aquarium. The check-in time was not until 4pm but we went to the hotel 1st so that we could have them store our luggage and park our vehicle (no need to pay for parking at the Aquarium if we were already paying for parking at the hotel), to our surprise we were informed that our room was ready and we could check-in early. The room was amazing! The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location too. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance without the noise of the French Quarter. I would love to stay at the Loews again.

The hotel and room were beautiful. I had gone online and become a Loews member which gave us free parking and a welcome gift. There was no extra fee for our labrador. For us it had a mardi gras doll and some NO regional food. We had booked some type of "pet special". It came with Loews dog food and water bowl, a Loews dog mat, and a dog bed. The street staff and everyone was very friendly to us with the dog-which was a labrador. There was an area next to the hotel to walk the dog. (We have stayed at another pet friendly NO hotel where grass was 3 blocks away. hmmm) The only problem was we had to call down and ASK for our welcoming basket. We had to call down and ASK for our pooch stuff. The front desk person was clueless and said she had never heard of them offering dog beds. I hung up-irritated. But 30 minutes later, staff arrived with everything we had asked for-welcoming basked, pooch bowls and brand new dog bed for our dog to sleep on. Other than the front desk snafu-everything was gorgeous and we plan to stay there again.
