I booked this hotel so I could be close to the water and the walking/running path in the morning. This hotel is perfect for that and is about a 20 min walk to the restaurants on the wharf. Though it was winter, I was there on a hot day and even nightime was warm. There is no AC in the hotel (which I hardly ever use normally) which made it hard to sleep since it was really hot. I opened the door to the balcony and slept with it open for air, but didn't sleep well because of the noise of the waves, loud trucks, buses and cars, and the talking of the people on the porch next to mine. So overall I didn't sleep. This was my only complatint. If you are there during a not too hot time or can sleep with noise it will be fine. I had a lovely enormous room, the staff are very friendly (esp the valet guy), the hotel is well located and attractive, valent is cheap which makes bringing a car affordable and they have a simple but nice free breakfast in the am. Even with the noise I'd probably stay again so I can be close to the jogging path but I'd bring better earplugs!

Great location if you want to be away from the noise and bustle of downtown. We used scooters to get back and forth, although the bus is only *cents each way. Hotel is very charming. Beds were super comfy; towels were awesome!! They serve coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the lobby 24/7. Saved me a bundle. As stated earlier, if you want to be close to the action, hotels near the wharf would be better. The pool is pretty nondescript, but it's heated. So, after spending some time in the ocean, the pool felt great later in the afternoon. Continental breakfast is quite adequate and open until 10AM; so we enjoyed it every day. We would stay here again.

MY HUSBAND AND I NEEDED A RELAXING ENVIRONMENT TO GET AWAY AND THIS WAS PERFECT. WE TOOK A TRAIN RIDE IN FROM SOUTHERN CA. SO WE HAD NO CAR FOR TRANSPORTATION. THERE WAS A TROLLY BUS VERY AVAILABLE TO TAKE US EVERYWHERE FOR ONLY A QUARTER. WE WENT EVERYWHERE, SHOPPED, ATE A SIDEWALK DINNER AT THE SANDBAR RESTRUANT, ETC.......THEN BACK HOME TO OUR BEACHVIEW ROOM WE ENJOYED THE BEAUTY OF SANTA BARBARA. A NICE WALK ON THE BEACH AT SUNSET WAS GREAT...THE HOTEL WAS WONDERFUL...ALL STAFF MEMBERS MADE US FEEL WELCOLM AND AT HOME...WE WERE VERY HAPPY TO FEEL THE BED WAS AS COMFORTABLE AS HOME...I WOULD LIKE TO GO BACK AGAIN AND AGAIN... WE WILL CALL YOU AGAIN SOON...

My Husband and I have been going to the Fess Parker in Santa Barbara for the past 5 years. This Year we stayed here. It was the best experience we have ever had. The rooms were large,comfortable and very nice. The view of the Ocean was spectacular. The service we received was better than that given at Fess Parker. The Staff was delightful and very personable. We are planning a return trip. So Glad we found a new place to stay.
