The room was very small but very clean. It apeared to have been recently upgarded with new floors, paint and furniture. Two guest would feel cramped, but the room was perfect for a single traveler/ sightseer who would spent minimal time in the room. There was some noise from the hallways at night and noise seemed to be possibly increased by the use of hardwood floors. Overall, I would stay there again.

Prepaid for my stay, but when I got to the hotel they said it was their policy if you are using a debit card they need to tie up another additional $200 on top of what was already paid. That amount of money is unacceptable for one night that is already prepaid, $50 for incidentals is normal but $200 is ridiculous. I have stayed at 4 star hotels that did not have such outrageous polices & if they did they were willing to wave them if the stay was prepaid. The Belnord just refused to budge but then again they already had my prepaid money so they won out either way except now they are receiving bad ratings I guess they don't care about ratings only the money???

On February 22, 2013, I stayed in this hotel. Before staying in this hotel, I read many of the reviews. According to the reviews the rooms in the hotel were considered to be small. And, they were right, the room was very small. The sink in the bathroom was extremely small. I could not wash my mouth or face without spilling water on the floor. There is one kitchen on the second floor. There is no microwave anywhere in the hotel so the guy at the front desk said. There is no complimentary breakfast. There’s wifi, but one’s has to pay for it. I love the fact that the hotel was very clean. It was one block away from the subway station. Most importantly, it was affordable for a three nights stay. I would not recommend this hotel to people who are planning to stay for more than three nights. My overall experience with this hotel was good.

The location is great for where I wanted to be. I have stayed in various single hotel rooms when traveling, and I would say the room is fine. It is clean and the cleaning service is fine, but the bathroom is by far the smallest - especially the wash basin, it's about 1.5' by 1' outside measurements (about 45 cm x 30 cm). I couldn't wash my face or brush my teeth without spilling water on the floor. For wireless internet access you are required to obtain a new password everyday, which is somewhat a nuisance, and the speed is not as fast as some other hotels. I don't know about the larger rooms in the hotel, hope they have larger bathroom.
