  • The Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort is 100 percent non-smoking.
  • The resort's private pier is currently closed and only a portion is open to pedestrian traffic at this time. Fishing is not permitted. Please note the resort charges a 15 per-night, per-room resort fee which will be collected by the hotel at checkout. This fee includes use of the following: unlimited use of beach lounges and chairs, full resort activities program for children and adults, local calls, first 20 minutes of 1-800, live entertainment throughout the hotel, admission to beach playground, health club and activity center, local newspaper at Cappuccinos Monday-Saturday, wireless internet access, in room safe and coffee maker, and complimentary incoming faxes. Discounts are offered for non-motorized water sports rentals.

    The only problems we had were trying to get into the front of the building to check out. We were out on the street for 5 minutes blocking traffic in the left lane. They need more organization getting people in and out.

    The front desk needs some organization - needs first come - first served. noisy and no coffee maker. room was remodeled and was nice.

    Before we left we have read several reviews of the hotel. The more we read the less we expected. Complaints about the staff made us worried. When we arrived they were all very very friendly and helpfull. There was just one roon left on the 1st floor, it had a view at the parking lot. Thats not what you hope for when you fly to the other side of the world. We asked for another room and they arranged it the next morning without any problem. I lost my watch in the hotel and they searched and found it. We had a very pleasent and relaxed stay.

    The View from our room was Amazing. Its FAR from South beach Miamiand the airport $50.00 taxi Ride . The beds were NOT comforatable. The Elevators are SLOW. BUT the hotel staff was great and the Whole "resort" was a nice getaway. I would recomend it for a quick get away.

    First time we booked here they did not have a room for us that we reserved. They sent us to another hotel about 1/2 mile away. We went two weeks ago. Once again we paid for 2 rooms with two beds each because we were traveling with children. Guess what? We got 2 rooms with one bed each. My sister and I each had to sleep on the miserable pull out sofas. They are false advertising all around. Except they do have a great location.The only good thing about the place! My advice....pay more and get better and cleaner and what you paid for!
