We stayed here in 2007 and though it was nothing special then, we thought we'd give it another shot because at least we knew what we were getting. We like the fridge in the room and the close proximity to various Orlando attractions. But the first time we stayed we had to have a new fridge brought in. This time, we had two lamps that didn't work and a handle hanging halfway off on the dresser. I asked them to fix all these issues and upon returning that night we saw only one lamp was fixed and the handle on the drawer fell off again within a couple hours. We never had more than 2 washcloths in our room, sometimes we had none, so I always had to call down for more. When you've just come back from walking around Universal Studios all day all you want is to get your kids bathed and in bed, not wait on washcloths. Also, the furniture was in bad shape, the edges peeling and it was all dinged up. There was only one elevator in service most of our time there so we spent a lot of time waiting on it since we were on the 11th floor. The breakfast was also much better on our last trip. There were muffins, donuts, cereals, bagels, etc. This time it was 2 choices of cereal, bagel or toast. One waffle maker going on the weekend only (who wants to wait in that line?) and one choice of fruit, milk, juice, coffee. The lobby & dining area are gorgeous and they are supposed to be remodeling the rooms soon but after this experience I dont know if I'll want to give it another shot.

Night one when the bathroom was covered in red ants we called and were told that someone would spray at noon the next day. later when a cloud of gnats appeared we asked for another room we were told that none were available unless we wanted to upgrade for $40.00. The next day when we complained again because the issue wasn't resolved the only solution was pay $40.00 more per night and upgrade and they had plenty of upgrade rooms available. Night 4 when we found no towels in the room after it was made up (never got soap or shampoo on any night) it took 3 calls to get ONE towel. The breakfast is bagels or cereal and the toasters didn't warm the bagels after 2 times thru so the lines were 4 and 5 deep all morning. Last night there was the grand reception for the opening of the new section and guests were advised to avoid the lobby or the pool and don't mind the music or the complete lack of parking as it was an invitation only gala. No one should ever stay here!

The hotel is under construction which we knew, the cleanliness was poor in the room. The staff where not welcoming at all. We could here the noise from the room next to us. Since they are underconstruction there is no parking, we where force to park very far near a shopping mall and Walt about half a mile to the room which was horrible. Overall there are many other options in Orlando for the price you'll end up paying at this hotel you'll probably get better deal somewhere else

This will be a nice place, once it is finished. In the meantime, avoid this place at all costs. The parking is horrible...you almost need a shuttle to get to the motel. The elevator is essentially non-existant. In the 2 days we were there, the only time we actually had it arrive was the night we checked in. The staff was rude-from check in to departure. The rooms are old but tidy. That being said, the pillows are old and lumpy.
