We stayed in this hotel for one night before an early morning flight. When I checked in, all 3 of the men behind the counter were on the phone while helping me. They barely paid attention to me, and did not seem very friendly. I had to return to the front desk later to request the information needed to access the wireless internet. The information was on a crooked and poor-quality photocopy. The comforter on the bed had several holes in it and was pilling all over. While most hotels use white sheets that have clearly been bleached between each use, this hotel used thick, colored sheets that didn't seem very clean. The kitchen cabinets and drawers didn't close properly, and all of the counter-tops (including those in the bathroom) still had measurement stickers on them, as if they had been newly installed but never properly cleaned. The TV reception was fuzzy on most channels, and the curtains covered the a/c unit and had to be tucked behind it in order to let the cool air circulate. The bathroom looked like it was in the process of being remodeled. There was a missing section of tile inder the sink as if a cabinet was missing. The rest of the tile around this section was chipped and the floor looked dirty. When I pulled back the shower curtain, several hairs fell into the tub. The shower head was only maybe 5 feet tall and the faucet did not have hot/cold direction indicators. The tub had what could have either been chipped away enamel or dripped paint all over it. There was a purple stain in the middle of the tub. Overall, this hotel was dirty and not up to par. I would NOT recommend. it.

We arrived at the hotel to find that our room faced the loud highway and that we had old food, tissues and the previous occupant's comb under the bed. We called and asked to be switched to another room and were told that they did not have another room available. We found stains on our sheets two nights later.The air conditioning broke and we were told that we could not have another room because they were sold out, they did not replace the unit until 10 pm. They only serve a certain amount of food at the continental breakfast and when it is gone, it is gone. Several people went hungry because they refused to put out more pastries. They will only allow use of the waffle maker between the hours of 8-9:30 and will not turn it on, even if the other food is gone. Front desk personnel would watch tv for several minutes while a customer was waiting for attention. When the maid service actually came to our room, all they did was make the bed. Some nights, they did not even make the bed. Pool did not appear to have been cleaned in quite some time. Overall, I would suggest finding a better hotel. We had a horrible experience and it really put a damper on our stay in San Diego.

The location is very bad. I would say it is about the only hotel I seen that did not have any trolley or bus stops for at least a mile from it. The hotel is old and pretty ran down including the inside of the rooms. When we arrived our beds had sheet that were not clean. I went to the office and complained and they gave me new sheets to change myself. The carpet was so old and dirty it turned our socks black in very little time. We found used q-tips on and other wrappers on tne carpet. The sink tub fridge was dirty. The room does not have a full kitchen. They took out the stove and replaced it with a dishwasher That was not even hooked up yet. We did not even bother using the pool or hot tub. The water looked murky and unclean. I would rate the hotel as a 1/2 star hotel that i will never stay at again.

This hotel was terrible. When I first checked in, I checked the sheets. There were stains all over them. I had room service change the sheets and the second set still had stains. The hot-tube was way over heated, the bathroom light didn't turn on nor would the door close. The T.V. was fuzzy and didn't work, the kitchenett was dirty. I would never stay there again. I suggest anybody considering this place, DON'T CONSIDER IT!! I demanded my money back and left after an 30 minutes of checking in. The kid at the front desk was rude, the rest of the staff were unfriendly, the room smelled and did I mention the pool was full of bugs, sand, and was very unkept. This hotel is not worth the money it markets for nor any money for that matter. Foul, horrid, vile, revolting, nauseating! I wonder how they keep the doors open. God knows cleaning isn't that cleaning isn't important or anything to this hotel or its staff.

The price was good for what we were looking for-a place to sleep and swim. The front desk staff were very nice, and my kids enjoyed the muffins, waffles and cereal for breakfast. The down side was the parking and remodeling in process. The bathroom had areas of tile missing and the sink had only hot water. The room itself was large and roomy.
