BEAUTIFUL pool and beach area. We did appreciate that there were not a lot of children in the pool area. Palms restaurant offered a delicious veggie wrap and margaritas. Staff was responsive and polite although the check in/out process was slow. While I would recommend this hotel over any of the nearby competitors (NO comparison in the pool and lounge areas) I HIGHLY recommend that if you would like to enjoy cocktails or beer at pool or beach that you walk two hotels down where the SAME beer and drinks were HALF the price. They also give you something to carry them back in. While we expected food and drinks to be pricey $8.95 PLUS service fee for a 7 oz beer was insulting. $15 for a piƱa colda in a plastic cup.

The hotel has an free wifi only at the cafe. The internet I had to pay for was terrible. The hotel was nice enough to credit me, but I would really just like wifi that works well throughout the hotel.

Our first time in Aruba, we went with the Hyatt because my wife and I were familiar with their resorts in other destinations. Very clean grounds in a 'paradise like' environment. The service was fantastic. We were always greeted by everyone we passed. Being in the retail industry, I tune into service levels and was quite impressed at the attentiveness of the staff. Food and drinks are painfully pricey not only at the resort but on the island in general. You could probably save some coin if you went to a supermarket and took a cooler to the beach for instance, rather than use the servers at the hotel. But hey, we were on vacation...who cares! Bottom line, go with the Hyatt, no disappointments!
