Although I wasn't unhappy about our stay, it wasn't the quality or service I expected for the price and brand of hotel. Staff certainly didn't go out of their way to make you feel welcome or helpful. It was clean and quiet.

The room was not as good as most hampton inns I have stayed at. It was a little run down. It was acceptable and i only had a one night stay. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly.

The employee that manages the complimentary breakfast is tops! I have visited a number of Hampton Inn Hotels and they are consistently great, but none compare to this employee in the breakfast area - she always remembers me and welcomes me, she knows my special needs and she anticipates rather than waiting to be asked. The hotel was recently updated and the improvements were great.

Very nice little hotel right in downtown Deadwood. Very comfortable and clean room. The beds were very soft and comfortable as was the comforter and pillows!! Most comfortable bed I've ever slept on in a hotel and I've slept in many hotel/motel beds over the years!!! All the hotels are limited by the space they have in this valley, so considering the space they had to work with, it is a very nice place to stay. The main road through downtown Deadwood runs right behind the hotel, but considering it runs so close by and a lot of traffic goes through there on a daily basis, we had no problem with noise or getting to sleep. We had to walk a little ways to the hotel since parking was just down the street, but it wasn't bad. It's a level walk on a sidewalk. Complimentary breakfast was good. Not great, but good and better than most. Would have been better with more choices of rolls, breakfast food, etc. But again, considering the space that is available it was very nice. The hotel staff was terrific. They are all very polite, professional and helpful which is just what you want after a long trip. Great job!
