For being an older motel, this facility has been updated sufficiently to give decent bang for the buck. It's not the Beau Rivage, but the rooms have comfortable beds, microwave ovens, dorm-size refrigerators, ironing boards, and a desk with comfortable chair. The TVs are the older 25" tube-type, but I prefer those for viewing a standard definition signal over a flat-panel TV (for which each room would need to have a digital HD box) with a blocky, low-def picture. The room was clean. One con: This facility is near the airport, and jets can be heard passing over.

The hotel was a great place to stay but if you are planning to go the beach Gulfport is not the place to go. The beach was very nasty. There was glass and garbage everywhere along the shore. You had to look down every step you took.

When we arrived at the hotel we was unaware of alot of downfalls this hotel had within its rooms. When we got our room keys and went to our rooms the first theing we notice when we walked is was how hot it was with the A/C unit on. Next when we went to take a shower (not aware before hand) we had a handicap shower. This was not a big deal until we rolled the shower curtain out and it was covered in dry blood. Secondly, the water does not drain out the drain in the floor instead it collects in a corner and then out the bathroom door. When we went to get breakfast the choices was limited and most of the dairy products had mold growing in it.
