Price of hotel does not include the mandatory $20 service fee/day for local calls, internet, etc. There are also lots of "goodies" in the room that you would think is free but it's pay per item. To avoid being charged and accidentally using the "goodies", you can request the items to be taken out of the room. Overall great hotel, staff and location!!

We had a great stay and plan to return to this hotel. The finishes and furniture in the lobby are exuberant and as welcoming as the staff. The rooms were quiet and the shoji screens on the windows were very cool. The bedding was exceptional. As in lots of NYC rooms, the bathroom was smallish in terms of counter space but not cramped. This is not a stuffy Manhattan hotel but instead an uber cool retreat. The first night we were truly suprised to find that the restaurant was very good even though the menu is not extensive. Way worth the money and very easy to get around Manhattan from this location.

We recently stayed here for a 3 night girls getaway. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful and polite and made you feel at home. We were 2 blocks from the subway and 3 blocks from the Empire State Building,so in all a great location to get to where you want to go. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel,and plan to stay there again in the near future.

My experience at the hotel was a positive one. The rooms were small, but comfortable. We had a small terrace which was a lovely spot for coffee. The staff gave helpful suggestions for meals and was helpful with directions. My only complaint was the absence of an in room coffee maker.

Even though this is NYC, the room was much smaller for the amount of money. I stayed in larger ones for better prices. Also, you could hear everything on the hallway. The only reason I would consider coming back is for 50% or more discount
