This hotel made me feel welcome.
02/03/2011Overall, this hotel is very nice and cleanly. the hospitality service is excellent. this hotel is good for an intimate setting. i would recommend staying here with a significant other.

Beware of "free breakfast"

Location was GREAT, Room was adequate, staff was professional, just beware of the free breakfast that is advertised. Free breakfast was a bagel OR croissant along with coffee OR tea and thats it.The tea is simply a cup of hot water with a Liptons tea bag and the coffee tasted like just basic Maxwell House there was not even an option of orange juice, I ordered an orange juice which was $*(Plus tax and gratuity). The night club passes were not actually passes for admission which is what is advertised,instead it was just a pass that allowed a drink ticket with admission.

We stayed for 4 days in May of 2009. We left our husbands and kids for some Miami fun and sun. Our room was small but clean. We walked to Mangos every night and the beach everyday. Staff was pleasant and helpful. You only get what you pay for the only complaint...were the younger girls next door who were very loud. We enjoyed every minute and we will return this year.

No way this is rated 4 stars, more like 1/2 star! Big disappointment for our first time to Miami's South Beach. Said we could get ocean view and it's two blocks from the beach. Guest clerk laughed when we asked for what we booked (ocean view). Very small rooms, tiny pool and elevator was dark and only large enough for 2-3 people at a time. Hallways also dark and musty odors. TV was only 12-14 inch screen hanging from a shelf on the wall. No bathtub, only a shower. Refrigerator did not work. Said they had pillow top mattresses but we just had a single mattress on a platform bed. Hidden charge for "free" internet service and towels to take to beach, Swimming pool was green and only about 8 x 12 feet. If I had not paid in advance, I would never have stayed. Our 2nd floor room was loud all night with road traffic and conversation on the street in front of hotel and noise steps and stomping over the room most of the night.
