Let me begin by saying that, based on the Clinton Hotel website, the hotel was chic and upscale and slightly different than the typical SoBe boutique hotel. When I entered the hotel front doors I immediately knew that I was wrong! I was greeted by dirty white walls and construction. The hotel also wreaked of a berry flavored air freshener. I walked up the the front desk to check in and I was greeted by a less than friendly front desk attendant. She gave me paperwork to sign, took my credit card and then told me that there were no rooms available for me to check into. (As I stood in the lobby I realized she did this to at least 5 other guests). When I asked her what would be the best time to return she, without even a smile, shrugged her shoulders and said "I don't know .. Maybe later.". The concierge (and also the nicest staff member in the hotel) was gracious enough to hold all of my luggage until I returned. When I finally entered the guest room a few hours later, it was dark and musty. There were iron burn marks in the floor and the white brick wall gave the feeling of being in a dorm room. The bathroom was even worse. There was mold on the ceiling and walls (I have pics to prove it) and soap scum all over the interior. There were also tiny black worms in the shower floor. It was gross to say the least, but I decided to just hang in there. I attended that evening's free happy hour. The vodka and gin drinks were typical of any free alcohol, but the bartenders were rude. The next day, though the website says that beach chairs and towels were available for rental, we were told that the hotel had none to provide. When I returned to my room in the afternoon, the room had been "cleaned" but no towels were left in the room. When I called for bath towels I was told once again that they did not have any available and to wait about a half hour. Also, the shower was NEVER cleaned and still smelled horrible. The next day , the drama with the towels continued... Luckily, this day the manager was in the hotel and we were able to speak to him. We spoke about the room smell and the inability to shower when we pleased due to towels never being in the room. (I was expected to pay a room fee of $7 per night + 13% tax for these services). The manager said that he had "no excuse" for the lack of service in the hotel. He upgraded us to a loft room. The loft room was much nicer, probably because it was used less. There was a private balcony with a jacuzzi and chairs. The shower still had soap scum all over and still, we were unable to get towels! A problem that I found with both rooms was that the beds did not have fitted sheets so every morning we woke up on a bare mattress. At this point, I didn't even have it in me to complain to the front desk anymore. I decided to use the jacuzzi one afternoon ... After I filled it up with water I turned on the jets and out flew leaves, hair and dead bugs ... Once again, HORRIBLE ! The pool was another option, it was a typical 4ft. Spa pool however, the cabanas had dirty, stained seats. Upon check-out, due to the poor hotel service, I did not have to pay the nightly service charge. The. Concierge, who was wonderful, made it an effort to apologize for the hotel's shortcomings on my way out. Needless to say, I will not be staying in the hotel Clinton again !

We loved the location, amenities and the sorrounding. The concierge service was at the best. If you want to explore South Beach , dinning and night life this is the place to be. The concierge gave us club passes and he booked us a trip to everglades which we enjoy it so much. They have a jacuzzi by the pool area which was a blast. Sometimes the valet parking take a little time to bring the car but in South Beach is very difficult to park and the hotel was very busy. We can't wait to go back.

Nicely freshened up Art Deco hotel that my relatives tell me has been around forever. Brightly lighted, modern, and comfortable. Up to date bathroom and flat screen t.v. surprised me. I had to ask for hand towels (bring your own wash cloth). No free WiFi except in the lobby.

I stayed at Clinton Hotel late last summer for a quick getaway. The Hotel is conveniently located near shops, restaurants and most importantly the beach. The hotel staff were friendly and willing to answer any questions concerning tourist attractions. They even have a shuttle bus that takes you back to the airport. Room service provided towels and soap at least twice a day when I returned to my room which was helpful. The rooms were very nice although the building itself did need some maintenance. Overall, I would stay here again. I think the Hotel is great for couples, groups or solo travelers like myself who want to enjoy the beach, nightlife and all it has to offer.
