We stayed here for 2 days pre-cruise . The night before our cruise, my husband became very sick. The staff called the ambulance, stayed with us until they arrived and even had the elevator held on the ground floor so the squad would not have to wait for it to come up to our floor. They even called my cell phone while I was at the hospital with my husband, to check on us and see if there was anything we needed. Can't say enough good about the staff!! Hotel is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The pool is on the roof and is also beautiful. Will definately stay here again!

I stayed at the Monteleone this June for 5 nights and was thrilled. The room we had was small and did face an interior alcove, but it was still bright and the location made it very quiet. It was very clean, the staff was excellent and the pool was great! I was a little worried the hotel would feel stuffy or old, but I felt very comfortable. The Carousel Bar was awesome, we met friends there more than once, they mix great drinks, and it's a wonderful place to relax and regroup after walking around all day.

Stayed here for the 2nd time in May 2010. Beautiful old hotel with modern amenities. Nice pool and gym. Rooms are a little small but very nice. King bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping staff did a great job. Employees treat you like family. The carousel bar is a must see. Bartender Marvin is very knowledgeable and talented! Will definitely be back!

My business travels take me all over the southeast and this hotel is probably the finest I have stayed in. Fine rooms, outstanding service and the price was right through Travel online. The Carousel bar was the perfect place to "get started" before going out exploring New Orleans. I found thgat not only were there hotel guests at the bar but locals as well that would provide a wealth of information that proved invaluble when deciding on where to go and not go. Highly recommend and will be the only hotel I stay in while traveling to New Orleans.
