For the price I couldn't believe what a classy place this was. The interior was beautiful, the rooms nice and clean and it was close enought to everything I wanted to do that I could walk. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

the hotel is immaculately clean beautiful and charming, rooms were great (king premier) BEDS WERE LIKE NEW comfy, great linens, felt like 600 count fabric, and bathroom smallish but gorgeous and decor was very nice King Premier had view of mississippi and sunrise/set were great. . I cannot fault the hotel at all. Doorman were so sweet and helpful if asked anything. New Orleans in january>> walk every where and go to frenchmens street at night for music and drinks, try "spotted cat" and get a taxi home , . for .music on bourbon street try" funky pirate" bar. I personally hated the premade drinks in the slush machines .shops all around , go to a real bar and order the geniuine drink made fresh , we did go to the carousel bar and had a Mint julep and it was nice.but wouldn't stay long as there are so many great places to go to there.New Orleans need more than 4 days to explore.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days between Christmas and New Years. The hotel is lovely, the staff was very helpful and the location was great. Our only complaint was that we paid for a premium room becuase we wanted the extra space. According to the hotel's information most of these rooms have views of the Mississippi or the French Quarter. Unfortunately our room was on the 3rd floor, so we had a view of the Walgreens and the parking garage. An even bigger problem was the noise. After two nights of little sleep, we moved to a standard room on the top floor. We wasted the extra money we had paid for the larger room, but at least we got two nights of sleep. We would only consider staying here again if we were guaranteed a quite room on a high floor.

Loved this hotel! The only criticism I have is that check-out took too long - there were 3 front-desk staff members who were checking guests in or out while simultaneously manning the phones and having extended phone conversations over who-knows-what. The gentleman who checked us out had to squeeze questions in for us between questions for the person he was talking to on the phone, so it would have been easy to walk away thinking that the quality of customer service was poor. The staff did remain calm and professional in spite of the situation, so kudos to them. This was a question of not-so-great front-desk operations, whiich the manager needs to address. Also, the heated pool, which we were looking forward to using on those chilly nights, was dirty, so no swimming for us!

Pros...quick valet service..got my car back in a few minutes (but charged $*./day....good location...a block off Canal Street (the main street) as well as a block from Bourbon Street. VERY soft, luxurious beds (had a good sleep) Very quiet hotel (we were on 7th floor) Mostly convention people there. Elegant lobby (site of Double Jeopardy) Very helpful front dek staff...no room tax when paying through Travel agency Cons (negative aspects of our stay) No internet in our room even though the front desk there should be but when I told her our room #, she said, "Not in that room"(I guess the good deal online didn;t include Internet) Pokey bathroom - could open the door from the toilet, and my arm rubbed against the sink. No coffee maker in room. No view - only a brick wall!! No fridgre or mini-bar in room (temporarily our of orde!!) Our valet bill left outside our door in the hall! They told us to give them 5 stars on Trip Advisor if we liked our stay (we didn't think it was worth 5 stars) Bedside lamp didn't work even though I told the front desk.
