Very friendly and helpful staff, clean hotel. We loved the pool area the best. I realized though, that I was not given my voucher for 1 free drink at the Carosel Bar. This Hotel is in walking distance to everything and also close to the Streetcar lines and the Casino. I loved the New Orleans experience and felt very safe at the hotel.

In celebration of our 43 wedding anniversay, we decided on New Orleans. Did some research, looking for a hotel in the French Quarter, near the Bourbon Street activities, yet offering the flavor and charm of the city. The 118 year old Hotel Monteleone fulfilled our highest expectations. The staff was friendly and most competent. Our room was lovely, comfortable and clean. We received a free room upgrade, because it was our anniversary, and complementary drinks at the Carousel Bar, which was tons of fun. We only had one meal at the hotel, brunch on Saturday morning. It was delicious. Our waitress, Kathy, said she had been there for 38 years. Says a little something about how the hotel employees are regarded. The hotel is charming, from the marble floors, to the chandeliers and the grandfather clock. Last, but not least, we may have even ""heard"" a ghost!! If you are looking for a hotel with the attibutes we were seaching for, we recommend The Hotel Monteleone. If we return, that's where we will stay again. Enjoy, Lois & Bill Brutzman

as soon as we arrived we were treated better than any place we've ever been....the staff is wonderful, polite and well trained. the hotel is older, but magnificent. i was a little afraid it would be dark and musty, but not at all. the location to french quarter and bourbon street is as good as it gets. the room was a little on the small side, but worked out great for our 3 night stay....would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend

The Hotel Monteleone is a great place to stay all around. This place has a lot of history and charm. As a guest you can go to the gift shop and take a free walking tour of the hotel guided by an MP3 player. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. I feel the location is perfect, one block off Bourbon Street and noise was not an issue. The thing I was most disappointed in was the fact that I felt they were trying to overbill me if they could get away with it. When we arrived they had us down for 3 nights versus 4. It was easily clarified with my travel site receipt but felt it was not an innocent mistake. Also, they tried to peg me with a $ per day parking fee which I had no vehicle on property. Parking was charged to my room for the exact time I stayed. These two things in combination made me feel like it was too coincidental. I would stay here again but would make sure to have all proper documentation concerning my stay.

This is a very good hotel to stay a short or long time. Very good locatio, good service and what you would expect from a upper class hotel. We stayed at other hotels, but this one we have decided is worth staying over and over again.
