If it had not been for the Formula One race going on during my stay, this hotel would've been perfect. The only real setback with the Formula One Race was that the road going to the hotel was blocked off, so the traffic flow was ridiculous! The hotel itself was beautiful once you got inside. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room itself was very modern and clean. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The hotel was in easy walking distance to many local attractions, including Clark Quay and the Raffles Hotel. The subway is also very close by, so it's an easy jump to the Marina Bay Sands as well.

Hotel is centrally located with easy access to stores and restaurants. The room was large with curtains to make the room completely dark. We arrived very early (2 am) from an extended flight and needed to sleep late before boarding a cruise. The bath area was very large and nicely laid out with a large shower. The hotel is a very good value for the money. Would definitely stay there again.

The Pan Pacific is a beautiful hotel and the staff was helpful from the time I arrived until my departure. There's a mall attached to the hotel and restaurants are aplenty nearby. Also, it's within walking distance of the Singapore Flyer.

Uncomfortable family vacation, only interested in your money

You may be able to have a good time at this hotel on an unlimited expense account, but for a family trying to enjoy a vacation it was uncomfortable. We were charged for 8 days even though we only stayed 6 full nights. No room upgrades, free food, fruit basket, anniversary gift, nothing. We arrived at 3:00am Saturday June 19 and tried to check in with the two ladies at the arrival desk. They seemed to resent us interrupting their paper shuffling and ignored us as long as possible. They begrudgingly assigned us a room, would only give us one room card even though there were three adults in the party, and only seemed interested in getting our credit card. I asked if I could get a refrigerator to store my insulin. I was told to put it in the minibar but not to move anything or we would be charged for it. Even though we had the Do Not Disturb sign out, housekeeping rang our doorbell twice before 9:00am. They didn’t like being told to come back later, demanding to know what time we would be out of the room. During our stay housekeeping never seemed to comprehend that there were three people in the room – we never got more than two glasses or mugs. Sometimes there would be three sets of towels in the afternoon and a set would be removed by evening. The room was kept vacuumed but the bathroom floor was never washed. The concierge desk was basically useless – little interest in helping, inaccurate directions, and poor English comprehension. Tried the Global Kitchen for breakfast once, my wife and daughter looked at the buffet and walked out. I stayed and paid SG$41.20 for a plate of ice-cold food. There was an omelet station and some kind of meat under a heat lamp but no one there to serve. I couldn’t tell what I was supposed to be eating because the food labels were so small. The only excellent service that we received was from the evening pool attendant. He even extended the awning over our chairs one night when it started raining. Left at 1:00am the next Saturday night, same two ladies were at the arrival desk. We went to the departure desk and were ignored, finally someone told us to walk over to the arrival desk. They once again resented having their paper shuffling interrupted, wanted our credit card again, and asked if the SG$41.20 was all we charged. With the excessive food prices and prominently displayed list of fees for taking anything from the room, we basically spent the week afraid to touch anything or ask anything for fear of incurring some outrageous bill.
