This hotel was in the perfect spot. It is located in the middle of everything and within walking distance of the whole French Quarters. Although it was one block from Bourbon Street, you could not hear any of the noise. The front desk attendants were extremely friendly and helpful, as were all the workers of the hotel. The lounge ""May Bailey's"" served the best drinks around town and the bartenders were friendly as well. My husband and I loved our room, he stayed in the room more than I did. (It was hot during the day) The next time we go to New Orleans, this is the hotel we will stay at.

The Dauphine Hotel was an excellent place to stay while in New orleans and the french Quarters. Everything you needed to do was in walking distance. The staff was very helpful. The use of their computer was always available to any visitor in the lobby. The pool was lovely and if you wanted the sun or shade both were available as to where you choose to sit. The breakfast each morning was great. if you left hungry that was your own fault. The room was large with an excellent layout. The bathroom had a wonderful showerhead and always warm water. The sink and all of the toiletries were ample. The bathroom never lacked for towles. The mattresses on the bed were excellent and very comfortable. The sheets were cotton satin which made for a good nights rest. The hotel has lots of coupons in the lobby if you are looking for discounts on tours or restaurants. Speaking of excellent restaurants they were only one to two block away.
