The room was great, the bed was very comfortable, we had a good view of the lagoon, the breakfast was very good, and the staff was the best. My one tip to make your stay great, if you have to call them and you do not get a live person, ending up in the phone automation system, hang up and call back at less busy time. You will be stuck in an automation loop and never get out.

My wife and I live in San Francisco and stayed at the Acqua as part of a weekend getaway. The hotel decor is clean and sleek. The staff were warm and professional. The setting is spectacular with afternoons spent on the back deck sipping wine and eating cheese while taking in the views of Mt. Tam and the water. We brought our bikes and and only used the car to go to dinner. The hotel is right on a bike path leading down to Sausalito or up to Tiburon. Breakfast was delicious with the option to eat inside or out on the deck. We can't wait to go again!

Room on first floor has sliding glass doors to small patio with two chairs overlooking Richardson Bay. This made for a lovely, sunny room and easy access to parking lot and walking path. Surprisingly there wasn't an extra security bar for the door. Main room door had deadbolt but no chain. Area is extremely safe but single travelers should ask for a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor. King-sized bed comfortable. Plenty of drawer and closet space for two and in-room fridge kept our own water and soda cool.
Room included breakfast which had make-your-own waffles, bagels and muffins which could be toasted, cereal, yougurt, and fresh fruit. Newspapers available at no charge. After breakfast go for a lovely walk on the public shoreline path which runs behind the hotel. Also walk to dinner at Robata sushi bar and grill or Piati's or drive to the Marin Brewing Company at Larkspur Landing or Left Bank in Larkspur proper. Also visit the Marin Headlands and stop at the National Park Service center and gift shop and the Marine Mammel Center. A suggestion: Take some of the money saved on breakfast and help these two worthy projects!
Would recommend it.08/01/2007

Very comfortable bed and pillows. Easy access from freeway and close to San Francisco. Decore nicely done; not tacky. Inclusive breakfast buffet was very good with excellent coffee. Bathroom sink was plugged and did not drain overnight and phone beside bed did not work, but phone on desk did work. Staff was very friendly and the setting on Richardson Bay was quite nice. Very popular with the business traveler and business meetings. Considering the prices of other local accomodation, I feel this was the best value for the money if you prefer some comforts.
