This hotel is by far not a 4 star. Breakfast was not included and the wallpaper is peeling and carpet is coming up in the corners. The rooms are very tiny and elevator fits one.The neighborhood is not the best. The good thing is its near the train station. I also have to say WIFI did not work. They wanted 10 euros extra per night for a non working wifi and the 10 per person for breakfast.I have been to several 4 star hotels in italy and this is not close. Good breakfast .

I stayed in Hotel Morgana for four nights in March 2011. The hotel is in a great location. Located less than 3 blocks from Termini metro station it was easy to access both metro lines as well as buses and trains to/from the airport. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They were more than willing to help with directions and even looked up an address for me. The hotel is clean and well kept up. Rooms are small (standard for Europe) but do have large bathrooms. The area around the hotel is not the most pristine neighborhood, but I had no problems walking around even late at night. I would definitely stay at Hotel Morgana again.

  • Decent hotel in rougher part of the city

Plusses: a block from the metro terminal. Hardworking staff, decent size rooms (if you're not looking for a 'big' quad). We had the opportunity to preview a few of the rooms and each had a different decor. Breakfast was better than most continental breakfasts you get in this range of hotels. Drawbacks: While we never felt unsafe (even at midnight) it is not the more pristine part of town. It reminded me of how San Francisco has let itself go and is the opposite of what Paris is like. The rooms are very European (by that I mean smaller - Don't families of four go on holiday in Europe!) In general, I would have given the hotel a 3.75 if it were in a nicer part of the city; perhaps by the Spanish Steps. For reference points for you, our other favorite hotels are: Grand Wilea in HI, Moon Palace, Mexico; Paradisio and The Parador in Costa Rica; The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, Canada; The Eaton in Shanghai, China; and other similar arrangements.
