A long time waiting to check in. The smoke, including cigars. Was horrible! No real shops open as they said they were going to be renovating soon. No security at the elevators or room key required to enter elevators. Didn't see casino cleaners much at all. Karaoke bar was fun. Slots paid pretty good and lots of comps. Consierge. Not so helpful.

Hotel was clean, priced reasonably and in a good location. We were in town for a wedding at the Venetian, which was only a few minutes' walk away. Most staff was very friendly with the exception of the front desk agent, who was apparently having a bad day and wanted to pass it along. The "eco-friendly" air-conditioning, though perhaps a great idea, was horrible. It was supposed to come on when we were in the room and shut off when we left. It chose to stay off. Even in April the room was hot and stuffy at night. The first night we finally called someone in the middle of the night to come fix it, when we realized the fan was kicking on but not actually cooling the room. The second night, it had to be fixed again, b/c it still wasn't cooling the room off at all. At seven months pregnant, hot sleepless nights are no fun at all. We were very happy to check out and go home the next day. I have stayed at other similarly-priced hotels on the strip and would go back to them again before re-booking at Harrah's.
