I visit Las Vegas twice a year and always stay at Harrahs. Yeah the rooms are kind of outdated but I dont spend much time in the room. The beds are WONDERFUL...so comfy and I have always found the staff to be open and friendly. I love the free shuttle service to Sams Town and The Rio. Because I am a Total Rewards member I love it that most of the Harrahs properties are within walking distance of each other. Although I do find the restaurants rather high priced after visiting other restaurants on the Strip I found that the food at The Cafe at Harrahs and KGB Burger were far superior to other places. I love The Range totally worth the money. I have stayed other places but always find myself coming back to Harrahs. Its just comfortable to me.

I was not pleased at all with the my room or the services we got will spend Christmas here. When I arrived I had the basic room that was not all that cleans and the decor was very out dated. I then upgrade to what I though was a suite and to my surprise it was room a little larger then the room that I had that looked exactly the same. The bed was not comfortable and the room contained a funny odor. Let's not talk about the food, it was horrible. We left the resort everyday to go and eat at other resorts. I would not suggest this hotel to anyone who is planning to go to Vegas for the first time.

Stayed at Harrah's Las Vegas this past week on the 12th floor of the Mardi Gras Tower in what I think was a "view" room..could see the strip if we looked straight ahead, looking down was a sea of vents and conduits. The connecting door between our room and the next was so flimsy that we could hear every word our neighbors said, and they weren't even speaking loudly! Luckily, we only had neighbors two out of the four nights we were there. Room was fairly clean, rug really dirty, though. Their cooling/heating system is really bothersome can be very loud and really doesn't seem to do the job well. I have never slept on rocks before, but the pillows we got I'm sure were made of rock...bring your own pillow. (I forgot mine!) Elevators worked well and were very easy to snag. Terrible gambling..if I hadn't gambled at Bellagio and Mirage, would have gone home with nothing. Ate at the Oyster Bar that we've really liked in the past, what a disappointment...Jambalaya was so full of onion, couldn't taste anything else. Prices on beer and wine were ridiculously high. Did have ice cream at a place upstairs called Icepan...where they make your ice cream right before your eyes! It was fun to watch and very good. All in all, it was a pretty good time, but as I said in my title, the review would have been much different if I had paid more than I did.

My wife and I arrived in the afternoon on Thanksgiving Day and within twenty minutes we were in our room. The room, while alittle small was very comfortable and clean. Housekeeping was very efficient about cleaning up the room everyday and the cleaning staff was friendly and they took care of our every need. Restaurants like The Cafe and Toby Keith's satisified our hunger pangs. The only negative found was that my wife likes Dr. Pepper and it is not available in any of the Harrah's properties. This was our first trip to Las Vegas and we look forward to going back.

We had stayed at the Strosphere Hotel #404 times#41 prior to staying at the Harrahs. We did not liked the location of the Strosphere as you had to take a bus or taxi everywhere. At the Harrahs you can walk just about anywhere. They have a little court outside that has lots of vendors and a lot of cheap restaurants are within minutes away. Mac Donalds Burger King food like that. They have great restaurants in the hotel but a bit more pricey. We plan on staying at the Harrahs again in May 2011.
