We enjoyed the stay. Hotel is across the street from the beach. Pool was salt water so the kids were not thrilled about that. Internet could get down at the pool but not in the room. Other than those two items we enjoyed the breakfast and the hotel. Very nice staff and the location is great. Shops and restruants nearby, zoo in walking distance and of course the beach right across the street. The sunsets were amazing. We had two adults and 3 kids with two double beds and a cot.

I had planned a stay at the Aston for 10 days and then extended for 14. The front desk staff was very accommadating and I didn't have to switch rooms. GET THE OCEAN FRONT. I was on the 16th floor and it was so worth waking up to the ocean. The balcony was delightful! The shower pressure was great and the maids were especially nice. I didn't have my room cleaned every day and they would stop me and ask if I needed a few more towels. I travelled alone and this hotel is very safe also. You need a key to get on the elevators and the security is always around:) The tiki bar makes great bloody marys. They do have music every night at 5 but it never bothered me. Overall, excellent stay and definitely recommend!!!

Using the key to your room is a bit strange. The rooms a re very nice. The free breakfast is what you would expect for free, never ate it because it is nothing but a bunch of frozen pastries and free fruit. Also when it's free people crowd around filling their pockets.

I took my 15 and 17 year old granddaughters to Hawaii for their Christmas present. This hotel was wonderful. The view from our room on the 12th floor was amazing. I must have taken 100 pictures of the view alone. We had an ocean view room and we saw beautiful sunsets every night on the water and had a great view of the pool. The noise from the Tiki Bar was just part of the atmosphere of this hotel. The Breakfast at the pool was so nice to look forward to each morning. The fruit and pastries were sooooo good. The people were so kind an courteous. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. We LOVED it !! It is also steps away from the beach and the zoo and almost every trolley and bus stop right at the door to pick you up. You can't get any more convenient.

Good location directly across street from sheltered beach. Easy walking distance to all Waikiki area sights, activities. Hotel was a dissapointment. Good price so we didn't expect the Taj Mahal, but... 1)place needs updating. 2) Brochure said laundry service, but they don't have it. 3) Iron but no ironing board. 4)They have a good complimentary breakfast served on the large patio by the pool. Along with it they have live Hawaiian music and hula from about 7:15 to 8:45. Nice if you are sitting there for breakfast. Unfortunately our room balcony was one story directly above the singer and their amplified instruments. It was also about 5 rooms over from the main bar off the patio (with nightly entertainment to 11pm) Don't take a room on the pool side if you want to sleep late or go to bed early! 5) There was also an almost constant barrage of sirens day and night from police and fire/rescue vehicles, but that is copmmon to all the hotels that front on the main drag (Kalakauua Ave.) 6) Free internet on the patio was sporadic. Otherwise you have to pay $9/day or $40/week for LAN in room.
