The Ashton Waikiki Beach Hotel was a wonderful place to stay, with pleasant staff and clean rooms. Dancers and musicians graced us each morning with Hawaiian flair as we enjoyed our fabulous continental breakfast by the pool. The room was very nice and even though we did not pick a view of the beach we still had one from our room on the backside of the hotel. It was nice to walk across the street to the beach and have a great view of Diamond Head as we swam or just enjoyed the sun and fun. Getting to great restaurants, activities, and other attractions without a car was no problem at all. The hotel staff accommodated us with very reasonable transportation to all of our events or we often chose to walk to places that we needed to see. The elevators were a bit slow, but it was fun to meet people and talk while we waited. The hotel management was working on the elevator issues so we expect they have been resolved by now. Even though The Ashton Waikiki was not one of the newer hotels in town, the value for the money could not be beat. We would definitely choose to stay there again. It was a wonderful place to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and to vist Hawaii the very first time!

The hotel and staff were pleasant enough. The hotel serves a nice breakfast each morning and is located across the street from the beach and walking distance to many familiar shops and restaurants. The room was adequate for the cost. The one grievance I have would be that the elevators were extremely slow.

We have stayed at hotels that have Waikiki in the name but were several blocks away from the beach. This one was across the street. We even took advantage of there breakfast on the beach. I enjoyed the room, we got a suite for the same price as a smaller room. The only issue I had was the price of the parking. By the end of the week it was almost as much as the hotel stay. Staff was friendly, breakfast good.

The first day on the hotel, we asked for ocean view and a king sized bed, and they gave us two junior sized beds and the 5th floor which had partial ocean view. On the 2nd day, we received a beautiful room with breath taking ocean view, the pool was perfect temperature not to cold and not to hot. The break fast was delicious and had a different variety of items to choose from. Great location, across the street from the beach, walking distance. The pool was amazing and we really enjoy it. Everythng was close to the hotel. We had almost the best experience ever.

Loved the ocean view, the location and simple, considerate rooms.

This is a great hotel that is close to the beach, has a good restaurant, nice pool (but didn't use since the hotel is across the street from the beach) and many of the rooms have wonderful views of the ocean and spectacular sunsets. But I think rooms in Hawaii are for sleeping, you want to be out and about and the hotel's central location is perfect. The beds were comfortable, the rooms had a little fridge and the free breakfast in the morning a nice, nice treat. Nothing fancy, but fresh fruit, coffee, juice, tea, muffins, yogurt (although if you read the label it's not very healthy yogurt), miso soup...but that is all free. If you want to pay you can also get a decent omelette. They had live poolside music during breakfast. All in all, I felt welcomed and taken care of. Got a good deal reserving on line. Would certainly stay there again and would also recommend it.
