I would recommend it due to the location, staff service and for the price that I paid for. The bed is small and uncomfortable. My husband and I are not tall and big and we were not comfortable so I'm wondering what more for the tall and big people.

Obviously if you are looking at staying here, you aren't expecting a 5 star hotel. We stayed 8 days here in May 2011. Loved it. We brought my 4 kids (ages 8 months- 12 years) and my parent, so we had two rooms, one Ocean Front, and one Ocean View. Highly recommend getting the Ocean Front. Much Nicer view. My kids kids weren't thrilled with the pool, but the beach is right there, and the water out there was usually warmer than the pool anyway. :) The staff was very friendly, the rooms were always clean. The included breakfast was good. The only cons I can think of are no free internet in the rooms. ($10 a day!!) Although you can bring your laptop down to the pool area and get free wi-fi. the other so called "con" would be the fact that you can not charge food or other items at the hotel to your room. That would make things a lot easier. If/when we come back to Oahu, we would definitely stay here again.

We just stayed in this hotel a few weeks ago and had a great time. My grandparents took my husband and I for a college graduation gift. We couldn't have picked a better hotel. We had a great view from our balcony and enjoyed sitting at the bar listening to music at Tiki's every night. The hotel was in walking distance from almost anything you could imagine on the strip. This hotel is wonderful for any trip!! We are already planning on going back next year! We enjoyed the free breakfast on the pool deck every morning. It was always very clean and the food was restocked every few minutes! There was also travel agents in the hotel that accomadated our every need!

Forget all the negative reviews you may have read about Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel. We stayed there from 5/9/11 to 5/19/11. Fantastic. Can't say enough good things about it. Free breakfast was great and plenty for everyone. View from our balcony was awesome. We stayed in the junior suite, 12th floor. Loved listening to the nightly entertainment from the Tiki Bar. Elevator system was superior and secure. Even during the busiest times of the day, our wait was minimal. The only negative thing I can say is the balcony was too small for a suite. Could not fit two chairs to sit together. The two balconies should be one large one for suite. Also, we couldn't charge the restaurant, gift shop etc to our rooms. Had to pay separate. A little inconvenient.

A very friendly, helpful staff who presented themselves as genuinely interested in guest's comfort and welfare. The view from my oceanfront room was simply spectacular, with a view that spanned 180 degrees across the mighty, blue and green Pacific Ocean. I did not have a single problem/issue with the hotel. The unique elevator system is the best and most efficient I have ever encountered. Five different elevators are available and during my entire stay I never had to wait for more that one minute for travel; even during the early morning hours when elevator traffic is usually the highest. One needs to experience it to fully appreciate its efficiency and speediness. The room was kept clean and spotless by the daily maid service. The room was furnished in bright decor and had one of the more comfortable and "sleepable" beds I have ever seen in a hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent location, warm and gracious staff, and a laid back atmosphere. All this at an affordable price.
