The Rio was a very nice hotel when it opened. Now with tough times they just need to fill rooms in a very large hotel so they are offering great rates but not worth the money. Cleanliness is a big issue, upkeep from carpet stains to who knows what that stain was on the couch or bench at the foot of the bed. If you are going for a wild bachelor party this is a good choice otherwise PASS

  • Rio was nice.

Room located by the generator that ran all night long. call the front desk and they were not not very cooperative in changing to a more suitable room.

To begin with the staff and service was fair. The dealers at the casino were very rude to beginner. You have to have a $200 deposit to use the phones or pay per view tv even though t hey have your credit card on file. Room service took two margarita glasses that I purchased for $30 each and only wanted to give me a $30 credit on my bill so I lost $30 because of it. The room was nice but out dated from the 80' s. The bath room wall paper was peeling everywhere and there was missing floor tiles. Carpet was very dirty and wrinkled in places. The hotel advertisement said rooms had flat screen tv's but that was not the case we had out dated tv's. All in all I should have stayed at the mandalay bay hotel like I started to. I will not stay at the RIO hotel and casino again nor recommend it to anyone.

Overall, we were very pleased with our accommodations, clean room, new modern decor, stll had an old TV, but ok. No Free WiFi which I was disappointed about. The walls were thin and you could here everything going on next door and in the hallways, luckily it was not too bad.
