I have read many reviews on the Rio, some not so good, but I will say that this is the second time I stayed at this property and have to say both times have been very pleasant( I have also stayed at several on strip hotels also), the night we arrived it was a late check in, not much of a wait I asked the girl at the front dest if we could possibly get a room with a strip view, and she made sure we had one it was so pretty at night. The room was very clean, bed were very comfortable and each day we were given new towels and cups for the Keurig, even though I brought my own form home to save money, (you have to pay for them at 3 for $8), the free shuttle was also nice we never had to wait more than 10 minutes for shuttle to arrive and they claim they run every 30 min. Went to the spa for a facial and have to say it was just a good as any I have had at other hotels that I have stayed at while in Vegas.. I would stay at the Rio again I found for the price it was a very nice stay, and for those of you worried about the TV not being a flat screen, it didn't really bother me because I was not in my room long enough to watch the TV. Thanks to the staff of the Rio for another great trip to Vegas!!!!!!!

Everything was excellent except for buffet pricing which was just too expensive.

Extremely noisy, got stuck next to a family of eight that started raising a ruckus from 9:00 PM till 1:00 AM the first 2 nights of my business trip. The final night, I was awoken at 1:22 AM for some kind of alarm, (fire?), the operator could not tell me anything in regards to what the alarm was about, needless to say, everytime I heard any siren on the streets below,(which happens more than you might think) I was wide awake and checking out the windows to see if the building was on fire. In three night. I probably averaged 5 hours of sleep. Their resteraunt served me a completely overpriced piece of meat they called a steak, with all the atmosphere of sitting in the middle of the casino, which we were. I don't mnd $45.00 for a single dinner if there's some pleasant atmosphere, there wasn't any atmosphere here.

We had a late night check in and was upgraded to a premium suite until ours was ready the next morning. Once we checked in to our actual suite, we were more than satisfied with how clean it was and the size of the room. Not a lot of outside noise due to our distance from the Las Vegas Strip so it was easy to sleep at night. Only Con that we had, would be that the "Strip View" suite we were in didn't have that great of a view of the strip but not much you can do about that. We will absolutely stay there again.
