From the moment we checked in and tell we left, our stay at the Rio was a nightmare. We had two rooms reserved. They said they only had one room. Then they had the wrong price. Our room was outdated and dirty. I wore socks at night because I didn't want my feet to touch the carpet.

I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. From the minute I walked into the lobby I smelled smoke everywhere. Even though my room was non-smoking, the hallway smelled like smoke and that smell got into the room. The lobby was dirty and so was my room. The carpet in my room was also torn and stained and there were cigarette holes in the stool in the bathroom. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Stayed at the RIO for 4 nights. Room was very spacious and clean. Staff was friendly. Location was good for the price. Shuttle service was dependable but it was certainly easier to use a taxi if you were heading to the strip.

Rio is a nice hotel just off the Strip with all facilities any Las Vegas Hotel has (several restaurants, bars, casinos, shops). Free shuttle service to the Strip. The rooms are very spacious and comfotable. But NO coffee maker in the room! Unfortunately the pool was closed for winter. Had a nice stay and would go there again.
