My boyfriend and I wanted a quick get-away and decided to visit friends in Orlando. We stayed at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal - and didn't know what to expect, what do you really get in the middle of a theme park?? The resort, which it is not just a hotel, was beautiful. I had the feeling that I was not in the middle of Orlando or a park, but surprised at the serene surroundings of the grounds. The rooms are exceptional, the Sushi bar is fabulous! And breakfast at the Island Grill was great! The boat taxi to City Walk was a nice surprise also, for us it was romantic. I highly recommend this resort as a must go to spot, we will be back!

I have read a lot of reviews on various sites about this hotel and some were good while others were bad. I was very skeptical about booking this resort because of the negative reviews i read. Im glad i stayed here. I would definitely stay here again. The staff was very kind and the room was always clean. The breakfast in the hotel was expensive and not too good, best bet is to eat in the park (expensive but good) or eat outside the park. Parking was easy and i would say do not valet the car because the self park is right next to the hotel and its a 2 minute walk. It has its benefits staying here. Free city walk pass and free express pass with the room key. The express pass is a MUST! We waited no more than 15 minutes for any ride in Universal. And city walk has some good food and good nightlife. The nascar sports restaurant was very good. Also i would suggest renting a car. Its helpful to get around, especially to Disney. The Disney parks are only 15-20 minutes away and very simple to get to. From the hotel just go out to I-4 west and follow the signs for Disney. It would take a lot to get lost on the way to Disney. The hotel is also very close to Sea World (i did not visit Sea World). The pool was very large and clean. I did not use the gym b/c i heard there was a charge to use it. Not worth it to me. The room was very nice, although it was a little pricey for what you get. Dont believe the negative reviews this is a very nice hotel.

STAYED OVER SPRING BREAK. BEST VACATION OUR FAMILY OF 5 HAS EVER TAKEN. HOTEL IS BEAUTIFUL, STAFF IS VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. FOOD AND DRINKS EXPENSIVE BUT GOOD. POOL WAS WONDERFUL, ALL 3 OF MY KIDS (8,10,12) LOVED IT. EXPRESS PASS INVALUABLE! REALLY IS AN EXPRESS PASS TO THE RIDES. BEDS WERE COMFORTABLE, GOOD SHOWER. WOULD MOST DEFINATELY STAY THERE AGAIN. FELT LIKE WE WERE DEFINATELY ON A VACATION.

We loved the Royal Pacific Resort! It was so convenient being right on the property of Universal Studios. We used the water taxi every day of our visit and never waited for more than five minutes to get a ride. Also, our room keys are used as express passes for the rides which meant no long waits for rides. We have three children and they not only loved the parks but were also looking forward to returning to the hotel each afternoon for time at the pool. There is an interactive area at the pool for kids and also the pool never gets too deep for the kids. There is also great food and drink service right at the pool area and we were able to charge things to our room. We had a kidsuite which was terrific. I would suggest that you try to get a club level room - it only makes sense to have the breakfast included as well as drinks and snacks - especially when you have three kids! The Island Breakfast buffet was good, the Orchid has great sushi, and Jake's had terrific food - nice little buffet for the kids for less than $4 and it included pizza, fruit, dessert, chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, tossed salad. Anyways, great spot if you are visiting Universal Studios!
