Great hotel. The location of the hotel is perfect for walking to the parks. The hotel has a very breezy environment and lives up to the Royal Pacific theme. I have stayed here before and, with season tickets to universal, will stay time and time again!

The Loews Royal Pacific Resort is a beautiful hotel. The grounds are clean and well kept, the food is wonderful and you are quick boat ride or walk away from Universal which is extremely convenient. With that being said the hotel overbooks during certain periods and allows children to stay unsupervised. We were not warned that our stay was booked during "halloween fright time". Our questions to the hotel staff were met with comments like "you should have know better". The hotel quickly became overrun with teenagers staying unsupervised anywhere from 6-8 to a room partying all night long. I am not sure if there are other times during the year when the hotel allows this, but if you are planning a trip there, please check.

This was my second visit to this hotel and although it is still a very nice hotel and I would stay there again, the first stay was definitely better. It may be due to a reduction in staff due to economy, it just wasn't as wonderful as it had been. Slow in getting housekeeping requests was the most evident and there seemed to be fewer boats running back and forth. On the plus side, bike taxi's (free, just tip) have been added to take you from the hotel to City Walk, which, when one is tired after a long day were a very welcome perk.

In my opinion The Royal Pacific is the best hotel for families that are planning to visit Universal Studios theme park and all of the other Orlando based attractions. Your room key is an Express Pass at Universal and IOA which just adds to the value of staying on site. The water taxi to the parks and the events on site make it so easy to plan your time together. You are also allowed to visit the sister hotels (Portofino and Hard Rock Hotel) and take advantage of their pool facilities. It's a great experience to just tour the other hotels as they are so impressive. I've stayed at the Royal Pacific twice and both times have been great experiences.
