The hotel was convient and very clean. Most of the staff was excellent. i thought charging $10.00 extra for internet in the room was a little over the top or $3.15 for a hershey bar was a bit excessive. I believe I would bring my own snacks next time. The only other compaint was waiting for the bellman to bring our luggage down after check out. They said they were surprised by the number of check outs and were under staffed. How can you be surprised when there is an arrival and check out date on your reservation? Self Parking at $17.00 a day was also excessive I thought.

It was great to be able to enjoy the theme parks with the amenities provided by the hotel - express pass, location, early admission. Location afforded opportunity to take a break in the middle of the day to enjoy the pool and then easily return to the park for the evening when the crowds die down. The staff was ultra friendly and attentive to our needs. We wouldn't stay anywhere else after this experience!

Love the location and the early access to the parks. Near City Walk and a lot of resturants. Near the Universal parks for all hours access. Not a bad walk from the hotel to the park for teenagers and adults. Might not be so good for smaller children. The Universal Express Pass (that came with the room) is very much worth the extra cost in the parks. Wait times were as much as 90 minutes where we were waiting 5-15 minutes at most. Harry Potter World was very crowded. Nice to be able to go there early and elsewhere later in the day. Kids liked the movie by the pool every night. Did not like the fact that the hotel charged extra for wi-fi and wired network in the rooms. Never bothered looking at the cost per day. A charge for internet access in this day and age? Really? Wi-fi was free in the hotel lobby next tot he concierge, so I did all my necessary airline check in there or on my tiny phone screen. Resturant menu prices (onsite) were at the expected levels, higher than I am used to or want, but still typical for this type of resort. Drink prices seemed a little high and the drinks a little weak. Rooms were quiet, but the pool area seemed really noisy all day. Did have a few issues with noise in the hallway getting into the rooms. I blame that on the neighbors though.

The Royal Pacific Resort is a well-appointed hotel within close proximity to the amusement parks (8-10 minute walk). The hotel is well maintained and the staff is courteous. The Royal Pacific Hotel is comparable in standards to a Disney "luxury hotel' but much more convenient in terms of proximity to the parks. I would highly recommend this resort.
