I usually stay in the Times Square area but I loved the location of this hotel. Very quiet but close to the action. The staff was SUPER friendly and who doesn't love a wine tasting happy hour. In fact one day we missed it and they sent up a bottle to our room (free). My only advice is to skip the breakfast buffet (bland and expensive) and seek out a local place for food. Great hotel and I would definitely stay there again.

Have traveled to NYC for 20 years, and this is the first time I thought I would try Murray Hill. It was a delightful change of pace. The pros: very quiet at night, not a lot of street noise. Cons: cabs can be hard to come by, especially when trying to get to the theater from the hotel.. You are better off walking unless the weather is horrible.Rooms are semi-spacious (for NYC) and are clean and stylish. If you are a Kimpton frequent guest, you can raid the mini-bar (within reason) and there is always a nice wine and cheese reception each afternoon in the lobby. Hotel desk staffers were pleasant during my 3-night stay. There's a laptop in lobby you can rent if you need to check e-mail. Would definitely stay here again, especially if I didn't have to catch a play at a certain time. The lobby is fairly large, so you can sit off to the side and avoid the constant hustle and bustle.

Only a few blocks below Grand Centrsl but milesawsy in attitude and service . The staff care helpful, pleasant and try hard to make your stay special. The rooms are of good size with all the amenities and housekeeping does a great job. Breakfast is a truly enjoyable experience and cost is reasonable by NYC standards. Free wine in the evening is a nice touch. As someone who grew up in NYC and returns every 3 months, I would rate this one of the best values in the city; not cheap but good vaue for the money. A special note of thanks to their great concierge, ABC.
