This is not a fourstar hotel!!! So if this is what you are used to....please stay away! At BEST 3. I upgraded to the "penthouse" because my original room was soooooo very small. The penthouse should have been the BASELINE as a standard room. The construction quality was poor and the room was so warm they had to bring in a portable cooling unit. When I checked in the maid was chasing a homeless person down the steps as he had just robbed on of the rooms she was cleaning....I had to point out to the clerk (who was 18 at best)...that MAYBE she should call the police as she stood dazed and confused.

My GF and I stayed here not knowing what to expect. We were both surprisngly amazed by the courtesy, location, price and atomosphere. This was our first trip out of state and it was the most pleasant experience and best trip either one of us has had.

The location of this hotel is perfect if you are looking to be in the middle of everything! Step outside and jump right on the cable car. The only down side--the room size was a bit small for the four of us (me, my husband and two kids). Other than that, it was a great place to stay.
