  I stayed in Wilkesboro after the 2009 nor'easter put my driveway under over a foot of snow and ice and cut off my power in Boone, NC. I found the hotel to be a welcome stopover. The staff was professional, the breakfast was great, and the room was both clean and comfortable. I believe that the rooms were recently remodeled. The only drawback was the exercise room that had ancient, noisy equipment that did not work well.

  Great Room. Check in could have been quicker. They couldn't find the reservation. Outside doors near elevator did not work, however, beds were the most comfortable of any I have slept in within a hotel and the breakfast was awesome!
