The room was very old, small, the heater was loud and the shower head leaked while showering. It would be OK to take the kids for a weekend or ski trip but would not recommend it for a couples getaway.

After staying 8 days, had an enjoyable time. Rooms are rustic looking, may need alittle updating but clean! Comfortable beds. They do have coffee makers in each room, but found out later that you could request a fridge, no micro. Staff throughout the motel were all nice & helpful. Food was good in the Timbeline restaurant, didn't eat in the Latin Soul one. This would not be a "plush" motel if that is what you are looking for but very adequate for those traveling or not spending alot of time in the room. Had a nice small pool that was kept clean. They have smoking or non-smoking rooms and also pet rooms. Casino is small but have one on each level, mostly slots. Did have 2 black jack tables with $5.00 mn which was almost unheard of. Would recommend this motel - only con we found was no elevators to the rooms so if you stayed upstairs you had to carry everything upstairs yourself.

The staff was helpful when my tv failed to work. The tub was a bit sunken in which was kinda cool, and the water heats us right away. There are outlets in the room accessible for a CPAP machine, and charging cell phones and laptops. Free WiFi is what cinched the deal for me. The food at Timber something restaurant was EXCELLENT, at least the lemon garlic vinagrette dressing was the best I have ever had. I would have liked a king bed, but they only have up to queen. I was worried about noise, and I could hear upstairs (elephants were bowling I presume) but only a few times. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner. A sink outside the bathroom would be nice, as we all had to wait for each to finish with the shower or potty.

This is an older property but well maintained. I visited in the early summer and there was a Harley group staying at the inn, and clearly they had stayed there before. Even with their engines revving up in the morning, the room was peaceful. The hotel, bar and restaurant staffs were all terrific; very friendly and helpful. The restaurants serve great food with good service. The hotel seems to be built for skiers with Heavenly Valley close by. I'm a skier and though my visit was in summer, I had not problem with the rustic nature of the hotel. Would recommend it to anyone.
