My husband and I returned to the Inn at Lost Creek for the second time last week. We expected it would be wonderful because we enjoyed 8 days there with extraordinary ski in/ski out in last March but ownership has changed since then and it has become even better! From bell staff to front dest to wait staff to manager, every single person worked hard to anticipate our every need and they all treated us like V.I.P's. We could not have been happier and we loved our daily chocolate chip cookies!

This hotel/condo was fabulous! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. The room was clean and nicely appointed. The pics on the web do not do it justice. It was much nicer in reality. It was just my husband and I on this trip, so we just reserved a one bedroom residence which is essentially a studio with a separate living area. I anticipated that this room would be very small as it was listed as only having a microwave and small refrigerator but we were very pleasantly surprised that the bathroom was very spacious and included a separate shower, jet tub, private toilet and closet with a washer/dryer. Very nice! Also, it was very cold the morning of our first ski, so it was great having the restaurant conveniently located off the lobby. Ditto for the bar at the end of the day. On the nicer days, we walked to "Ms" restaurant in Hotel Madeline - just a short 100 yards or so. The ski valet was a special plus - we weren't expecting that. It was great actually getting to literally ski in and then have someone else put your skis up. The staff also offered to walk down and pick up our lift tickets for us while we picked up our ski rentals. Christie's Sports is located just beneath the Inn At Lost Creek. Wish we would've known that before arriving because we had to walk a good distance to pick up our rental gear at another location and we thought that Christie's had much nicer equipment. Next time, we'll be the wiser. All in all, this was a great place to stay. The only thing I would caution is that for any one flying in from sea level #flat landers# just beware that Mountain Village is located a bit higher than most other bases. I believe it is 9500 ft above sea level at Mountain Core. If you stay in the town of Telluride, you are about 1000 feet lower. The altitude usually does not bother us, but this trip because we were sleeping at a higher than usual elevation without acclimatizing, we did experience a lot of unpleasant side effects #headaches, difficulty sleeping, some dizziness, etc.#. This can usually be remedied with lots of water and avoiding alcohol. Just a tip! Enjoy your stay here. You won't regret it!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was a little small, but had a sitting area and fireplace. We could easily spend several days at this location. They free gondola rides to Telluride which meant you didn't have to drive 8 miles into down. Plus the views from the hotel onto the village were fantastic!
