We went to Paradisius resort mid-december for a week with our 2 small kids. It was a great stay. Beach is amazing. Resort is beautiful and room large enough for a family of 4 (we stayed in a renovated Jnr suite close to the main pool and beach). The all-inclusive resort has plenty of choice when it comes to restaurants from buffet, mediteranean, steakhouse, italian, japanese to room service. Our preferred were the buffet at Gabi beach and club and the steakhouse grill. Would definitely recommend resort for families as well as couples given plenty of activites available for both (kid's club, beach activities incl snorkeling, diving, parasailing, night entertainment incl theather, casino, nightclub and beach & lobby bar...). Last but not least, the price is very reasonable for an all-inclusive with that high standards of quality. Only watch-out are the timeshare people (Club Melia) that can be annoying and some noise til 11pm if your room is close to the beach bar or lobby.

This may be the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed at! First night here they moved us twice being they gave us the wrong setup for a room. Second night we came back to our room after dinner and found a roach in our 6mnths old baggage! We waited 2 hrs for any assistance and we were promised a better room the following morning. We woke to find another roach but weren't given another equivalent room till that evening that evening infested w ants! Wasted hrs waiting for return calls from the hotel manager Nathaniel and Sammy at front desk. then waited for a bell boy to move us for 3 hours never having breakfast or lunch! We were finally given a room by 5:30 the 3rd evening there. All this moving w a 6 month old and my handicapped husband was brutal on all of us!

Great hotel staff, room was not like the picture but very nice once you get there. if you have kids go to the reserve. Food is so so, make all your restaurant reservations the day you get in, they will not seat you unless you have a reservation. Take dollar bills to tip, no need to exchange money. Buy souvenirs outside the hotel! They are ridiculously expensive there, I paid $140 for two pens, two paperfans, a cigar, a beach bag and a tshirt. Also, be very aware of how much $ to get back, lady did not give me my change back! Kept $19 from my change and I didn't realize it until I was on my way to the airport. The wifi is difficult to get, only works every once in a while.

The grounds were maintained incredibly well despite the reoccurring rain and flooding. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly when it came to dining and drinking. The room quality was a bit disappointing. Our ac did not work in our first room and the fan squeeled in our second. The bathroom shower was small, the walls seemed thin, and the bedding could have been softer, but overall great experience.
