We stayed 3 nights, Feb 27th- Mar 2nd 2011. When we arrived the check in area was spacious and not cluttered. We went with another couple and we requested to our check-in lady if it was possible for our room to be close to theirs, and they arranged that right away. However, we booked a king size bed, and got 2 queens, but we didn't feel like going through the hassel of complaining. The bathroom was small, but okay, nothing special. The towels had a funny odor to them, which almost smelled like a tanning bed, which we were told that in advance from a friend who stayed there a year ago, so must be their detergent? We booked a strip-view room, which basically all we saw was the MGM grand, a little deceiveing especially for 1st time goers who were't sure how the hotel was posiioned on the strip. "The Pub" in the hotel was great- spent time there twice. Drinks in the theater were outragous, but thats expected. Great location on the strip- not all the crazy traffic like there is in the middle but plenty going on. Great service for help getting cabs, or if we had questions, or when we needed the to hold our bags after we checked in before we went to the airport.The pools looked awesome, but it was too cold for swimming. The room overall was clean I THOUGHT, until our last night I noticed DRIED VOMIT on my side of the bed towards the wall!! I was disgusted by that! I would stay here again because the service was great and great location but I was a little leery after seeing dried puke next to our bed. BESIDES that...I enjoyed my stay and loved the location on the strip.

I will never stay at the Monte Carlo again. This place was a nice hotel about 6-7 years ago but badly needs to be remodled. The Beds are uncomfortable. The room is very old fashion looking. Needs to update televisions,carpet,bed linen. It was very noisy in the hallway and did not sleep well at all besides the fact the bed was not comfortable at all. The check in process was very slow and the staff was not friendly. The casino was very smokey and i'm a smoker myself and was still bothered by how smokey it was. I could go on for hours about specifics but my suggestion is stay away from this place! One of the more run down casino's in Vegas now.

THE HOTEL WAS WONDERFUL. IT SMELLED AMAZING, AND OUR ROOM WAS AMAZING. THE VIEW FROM OUT ROOM WAS TO DIE FOR. THE BEST PART ABOUT THE HOTEL IS THAT WE WERE RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STRIP.
