The front desk staff were excellent. Better than many nice hotels I've visited. On check-in, we were told there was a $15 per day "resort fee", which included a business center, according to person at the desk. There was no davance notice of this fee anywhere in the promotions for the hotel. Bad form. The "business center" turned out to be the corner of the front desk where one was able to plug in a computer/laptop. There were no other resort type amenities included. The room was lovely...large by Vegas standards, and quite comfortable. On check-out, when I asked if we could stay in the room until 1 pm (checkout at noon), we were told that there would be a $20 fee for each hour we stayed after checkout. I've been to hotels in many cities and in other countries, and I've NEVER been told anything but "Of course, you may stay another hour." Not the case with the Monte Carlo. The management sees fit to be as unaccommodating as it is possible to be. I do NOT recommend this hotel.

Good clean room. Switched after 1 night to get a king-sized bed without any hassle. Great location to be able to get out and see the strip. Casino was so-so. Biggest con was no wi-fi! Hotel provides free internet via a cable only.

I had some problems in this hotel. I had asked for a nonsmoking room, but found that when I actually was in the room, the room had been used by a smoker. The second problem was with the television. It never worked. I was there for several days, and it was not until 3 days after I initially called that someone came in to fix the old, really old, set. It was not fixable, and so it was replaced with another really old set. Fortunately, I am not addicted to tv, but I did want to watch the news periodically. The person who serviced the tv was fine, but getting someone to even come was almost impossible. I had also been under the impression that internet was free, but found that I had been charged around $15 per day. What a ripoff. This was not wireless internet.
