We have stayed at Monte Carlo many times before while staying in Vegas. Many. And this was the first time that we've had a bad experience but it was VERY BAD. Upon arrival, the only room they had for us was handicap accessible. Not a big deal, but the bathroom vanity was very small (compared to the size of the bathroom). There was mud, dirt and other garbage on the floor as if the room had never been vacuumed. The bed was less-than-stellar (usually the beds are very comfortable; this one was not). The hair dryer didn't work, and when I called the front desk/housekeeping to get another, it took 30 minutes and another phone call (and one more hair dryer) until we got one that worked (and we were late for a dinner reservation because of it). The coffee cups were dirty, and we did not receive the two "free" waters that are supposed to be included with the resort fee. The cable for the wired internet (also included in the resort fee) was horrible and would not hold a connection. We made a complaint with the concierge (who was nice enough to take our complaint instead of making us wait in the 30-minute line) but all that occurred was a supposed "deep clean" of the room, which didn't improve anything. On the last day, the room wasn't cleaned at all. Generally we like staying at the Monte Carlo because of location and ease of getting to other casinos/hotels. But this one instance will certainly make us re-think our options next time we go to Vegas (and we are there quite often - 4-5 times per year).

The staff was quick and efficient. It took less than 20 minutes to check in, which has never happened for me in vegas before! The room was lovely and the bed was so amazing you could sink into it. I would definately stay here again.

This hotel is about what one pays for it. The room was alright and the hotel itself could have been more cleanly. There is a hidden fee I paid outside of the agency site I used called a 'hotel fee' which pretty much $20 a day to get coffee water and use the casinos, etc. That fee could have been more upfront but the overall price for this hotel was reasonable outside of this. After touring the strip this hotel just didn't pair with everything else in things to do and cleanliness. This hotel is right on the strip so that is a big pro and the casinos are good by here. Just nightlife you are best looking elsewhere.

Machine were extremely tight..maybe becasue is was holiday time. Fancy Casino but I was shocked tht I had to pay for drinks even while playing machines AND table games. Even the little Mom & Pop Casino's give you drinks if you are actively playing. It added an unexpected cost to me trip. The hotel sided of things were very good though

The room was clean and roomy and overall very nice! The check in process was extremely slow and the staff was a little cool. I would rather have the total price reflected up front instead of having a resort fee the same price as the room hidden in the fine print. :(
