I have been to Las Vegas a few times but this was my first time staying at the Monte Carlo. Everything was perfect. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean and we had an excellent strip view. I would give the pool an A++ Between the lazy river, the wave pool and the beach volleyball court we never wanted to leave :) I will definitely be staying there again!!

When I checked in I asked for a room with a view of the strip. This was a first time for my grandsons to Las Vegas (15 & 11 years old). The desk clerk said she couldn't put us up front but that we would have a good view anyway. We viewed the parking garage and tram station roof, and the pool area 28 floors below. The marble floor in the bathroom was very chipped and the shower head had lots of corrosion on it. It looked very tired, and therefore dirty. The tub water woulnd't turn off without extra great effort to do so. All of the bathroom linens (towels, wash clothes smelled like burned pancakes or waffles. I called housekeeping and asked for linen that didn't smell and got more of the same. I felt like we were treated like second class citizens because we didn't book direclty with them. I wasn't aware that we would get such a shabby room because we tried to get a good value hotel through a third party. Also didn't appreciate the "resort fee" since we didn't use the pool or gym at all, and my grandson used the internet maybe 3 hours total. Not even a coffee machine in the room.

They weren't overly friendly, but it was nice. Other hotels gave out freebees for our business. I was surprised our hotel didn't offer them. The complimentary buffet helped our wallets, but the quality was just okay.
