After staying at most hotels on the strip, I was very disappointed with the Monte Carlo. Check in took nearly 30 minutes and the lines were not organized. Had to wait another 30 minutes to add a credit card to my account after missing it on the initial check in. The walls in the room are paper thin and I could hear not only beside me but above and below me. Beds were very comfy but could not sleep thanks to the noise. If it were a Hampton Inn, it would be great but not for the money or location.

My stay at the Monte Carlo was fantastic. The hotel was great and the staff attentative. It's located on the las vegas strip and is accessible to everything. I especially like that it's across the street from 'Denny' restaurant, my favorite breakfast place.

We've stayed in a number of hotels in Las Vegas, from the top to the bottom, and we make it a point to try a new hotel whenever possible. On this particular trip the Monte Carlo was offering a good price, so we gave it a try. Bottom line: I thought the Monte Carlo was very good, and that I got my money's worth for the price paid. Location is excellent - very easy to get to the parking ramp as well as to the Strip to access nearby properties. The rooms are nothing special - nothing "Las Vegas Glitzy" about them, but they were quiet, comfortable, and clean. It was easy to get from the room down to the casino floor, and out to Las Vegas Boulevard, which is important. I've stayed at hotels, like Bally's, where the walk from your room to the casino floor is really long. We went to Diablo's Cantina for lunch, and it was very good. We went out to the pool two days, and they have a very nice pool area. You'll find that there's a lot of shade created by the surrounding buildings, so you'll be chasing sun or shade as the day progresses. Check-in was relatively fast and painless, as was check-out. Overall, we had a very good stay at the Monte Carlo. It is a solid mid-level Las Vegas hotel, with an excellent price-to-value ratio. I can recommend it to friends and family.
