I love secret hotels! Unfortunately, this was not what I had expected. I went into the Monte Carlo with an open mind and pretty standard expectations. First my boyfriend and I waited 10 minutes in the hall waiting for the cleaning lady to finish cleaning the room. Not only that, we were given a room with a broken door and lock. Which we then waited an hour for a new room. The front staff was not generous in their compensation for our lost time and inconvience. We recieved $25 room credit restricted to the cafe and room service on non-alcoholic beverages. Note, this was only given to us because we asked. Sadly I doubt we will return to the Monte Carlo because of the poor customer service. As for the room itself, it was fair. Nothing special and yet nothing terrible. Keep in mind, although their room prices are reasonable, it is an older hotel on the strip with a lack of vegas hospitality.

My experience was generally positive. My wife, daughter and I stayed for two nights and found everything to be good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was fairly spacious and clean. The view on the 20th floor was to the new City Center. The buffett meal vouchers were a deal; the vouchers could be used at different casinos. We used our vouchers at the Aria which was very good. The only real negative was the morning wake up call. We had to get up by 5am so that we could get ready for our 8:23am flight. We never got the call and would have missed our flight if my daughter had not set her alarm on her cell phone. Then it was complicated by the shuttle not being there for our pick up. So we needed to go by taxi to get to the airport. I would stay here again, but would be worried about any wake up call. I did leave word with the front desk about my complaint and I am waiting to see if they respond to my customer service concern.
