While there are more oppulent resorts in Las Vegas and I occasionally stay at them, my go to place has become the Monte Carlo. The rooms are clean and quiet; the pool is adequate for all ages (full-time shaded areas away from the weekend party side); location is great with quick access to Aria, Cosmopolitan, Bellagio, NY-NY and Frank Sinatra Drive (the best-kept secret in Vegas for getting around on the West side of the Strip); rates are always on the low end of the spectrum; staff is very accommodating (they gave me options when I had noisy neighbors, including a free upgrade). I still hate the resort fee but if I didn't pay that, I'd probably pay the internet fee as I want that access.

THE HOTEL IS IN A VERY GOOD LOCATION, AND LEAN. THEY HAVE STORES FOR YOUR CONVINIENCE LIKE CVS, WALLSGREEN, AND IN THE HOTEL THEY HAVE FAST FOOD AND STAR BUCK ALSO. REALLY GOOD HOTEL TO STAY FOR THE PRICE.

The hotel was more calm and less of an attraction type hotel than others. The casino was nice and restraunts good. Our monaco suite had extremely dirty windows we could not see our view! The bathtub was missing the drain plug and I had to call room service (they came quickly). The bottom of the tub was really rough and it hurt to lay on! Also big flakes of paint were peeling off the bottom of the tub. The rest of the hotel was nice and clean. Overall good- just bummed our room wasn't that nice.p.s u pay $20 plus tax a day for a resort fee no matter what!

The Hotel is Fine. Food is good, but Casino Slots are tight. Can't seem to win here. Also they charge you $20 a day for incidentals like, a free newspaper, use of the spa, access to the pool & Weight room, (that we never used) A lot has changed since we were here 10 years ago.
