Hotel looked nice but the rooms didn't have microwaves or refigerators. Hard to find blow dryer. Nice view, comfy bed, and nice tv. The front desk screwed up almost everyone's reservation for the bday celebration we were there for because we had the same last name. I wasn't impressed, but it wasn't bad. Nice pool area although I wish it were open later than 5pm. One gripe about the pool was the incessantly loud music that didn't need to be there or could have at least been turned down.

We got a good deal on a Monaco suite and the room (5th floor) was quiet because it faced a parking lot. However, there were some interesting gaps in the provisioning of the spacious but oddly-shaped room. The pillows were all foam rubber, there were no grab bars in the bathrooms (1 full bath, 1 half), There were only two wastebaskets for the two bathrooms, desk, and bar area. The odd room shape required the sofa (seats so soft it was hard to get out of) to be at a weird angle to the flatscreen or, if we moved it, to be in the way of movement around the bed. We needed more glasses and help with the Keurig coffee maker and support staff appeared within two minutes of each of our calls! The check-in and concierge lines were the slowest we have experienced in years. And the casinos were all pretty stinky with cigarette smoke.

After hours of research (I have a hard time committing to a new place, especially when I read mixed reviews), I finally decided on the Monte Carlo for spring break (myself and my 2 teen boys). I reserved the Monaco suite because it has an extra half bath. The room was perfect for us, large, extra sitting areas Couch (for which we requested bed linens for one of the boys), table w/chairs, fridge. We weren't cramped at all for 5 days. There is noise in the hallways, but we were never bothered. Seems like some reviewers were grumpy about that. The hotel is lovely and has plenty of amenities for diverse dining - food court, cafe, buffet and more on the way to tram. All is reasonably priced. The tram is nice. We used it a lot to get to the Bellagio and further down the strip. NY NY is on the other side, an easy walk there and to MGM. So A+ for location. We spent a few days by the pool. I was a bit taken aback by the sardine type seating, but I guess that's normal for the big resorts. I discovered the trick is to get to the pool and wait in line before it opens to secure the seats you want. I didn't love that concept, but again, I'm told it's typical. No drinks or food allowed in from the outside, but the pool menu was reasonable - large food portions - easy to share. Drinks are pricey, but it's Vegas, and we were on vacation! They do offer water, but only in tiny cone cups, so I started saving our plastic cups from lunch to fill from the water cooler. Yes, there's a resort fee, most hotels have them. It includes wifi, but the wifi was a bit temperamental, especially with IPads, but we never bothered to ask about tech support. Overall, we were very happy with the choice. I would return.

It located right in the heart of Vegas in my opinion. Love the atmosphere in and around the hotel. The rooms were very clean and the cleaning staff was just on point with the shower bottles, water bottles and fixes around the room. I had a pool view which was very nice and all the gadgets in my room worked just right.. Im certain to stay there again.
