The Good: The hotel is modern and chic, on a very beautiful stretch of white sand beach, right in the heart of hotel zone. That was the main reason we picked this hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the rain shower is especially nice. The breakfast buffet is very good. Just the right size, has a very tasty oatmeal and plenty of fresh fruit. Service also very good. The Bad: Upon Check-in: We travel red-eye for 13 hours to get to the hotel. It took over an hour and twenty minutes to check-in, and we were the only party waiting! We stood waiting for 20 minutes! It was shockingly slow, even after we have given all of our information to the hotel a week prior to arriving. The front desk staff were no very friendly, and did not even apologize for the long wait. When we finally got to the rooms, air conditioning in one of the rooms was not working. It took about 2 hours and 3 different staff visits to get it fixed. Needless to say, the first day was a disaster. Food: We paid all-inclusive packages for 7 days. The hotel has only three restaurants onsite and no buffet for lunch or dinner. There's only ONE restaurant available for lunch. We had a party of 8 (with one toddler), and when we ordered, the dinner restaurant staff would often give us attitude as if we ordered too much. It was very unpleasant! The food very inconsistent, one day salty, one day very blend. We had to eat the same food for 7 days. The last 3 days most of the elders stayed in their rooms to eat instant noodles. Amenities: we were surprised there was no hot tub outside by the pool area. The pools are not heated thus water was very cold, and at night there was nothing to do. Not family friendly: This is not a hotel for family with kids. Other than the beach, there's absolutely nothing for the kids to do. One more positive, when we complained to the hotel manager about our experience with check-in and We will not stay there again next time for a family vacation. I felt so bad for my child. I do still recommend this hotel to any adult who wants to take a adult-only vacation, and if you drink a lot.

I loved the unique contemporary feel of this hotel...the bathroom had an awesome spa-like shower and the bed was very comfortable. The layout of the pools and the beachfront set up with the cabanas and lounging beds were the best. The hotel seems to cater to a younger but upscale crowd. I have stayed at several other hotels in Cancun but this is so far my favorite.

We were given the overall impression they value our business.The staff was willing to help with anything.Their new year's party was very expensive with an open bar.If you are not a heavy drinker you just cannot participate.The hustle at the airport was intense trying to sell you timeshares and packages for their theme parks.Makes one kind of uneasy.

Just an awesome place in it's decor and service, a truly friendly staff and some of the best ceviche I've ever had. If you are in your mid 20's to 30's and you want a sleek a stylish hotel with little presence of small children this hotel is perfect.
