We stayed in the Carousel Inn and Suites in Anaheim for 3 nights. The rooms were smaller than expected for a dual queen. They need to get rid of the shelving holding the mini-fridge and microwave...it took up way too much room. The bathroom had sliding mirrored doors on the closet....get rid of them!!! With the darned doors, you cannot hang your clothes straight. The temperature in the shower was constantly changing from nice and toasty warm to friggin' ice cold and scolding hot! Good thing my kids weren't taking showers. Ironically, this particular stay actually encouraged us to sign up for the Disney Vacation Club. I know this inn is in the midst of a renovation, but it was what it was. Doubt we'll be back if we have a choice. We like staying on this particular stretch of Harbor Blvd since it is so close to the entrance.

Hotel was very clean and our room was newly updated. There were signs though of it being an old hotel. You could hear everyone coming and going with there luggage. An easy 5 min. walk to Disneyland. The breakfast is more like a snack to hold you over until you can get breakfast, but it's very close to McDonald's and Denny's. Be careful of the shower, it was very slippery when it got wet. I actually slipped, fell half way out and hit my head on the toilet. When I notified them as to what had happened, they were very apologetic and said they would be adding some non slip somethings. But did not offer any compensation, which I was not looking for but would have at least been a nice gesture. Beds were very nice and we would stay there again.

I chose this hotel for its proximity to the Disneyland Resort parks and Downtown Disney shops and restaurants. It is located just outside the main gate area and the place where the buses drop off the other people staying on hotels further away. It is closer to the park entrances than the Disneyland Hotel itself! Another reason I picked this hotel was it claimed to have free parking on its website. That is true, but only if you book your room directly from the hotel's website. If you book through some other travel site then they will charge you a daily parking fee. They will also charge a fee for WiFi Internet access and the connection is not that good. I forgot a razor and they charged us for that too. Other hotels would offer basic toiletries for free if you forgot them. But resort area hotels nickel and dime you for every little thing. The hotel was nice and clean. We had a "concierge" room which meant we had a mini-fridge, microwave and flat screen TV. The bathroom was fairly nice too, with what looked like marble or granite. Beds were queen size and comfortable There is a small pool on the roof, which is fun and a different experience. The breakfast room is on the top floor too with big windows that look out onto the Disneyland Resort itself. One night we decided to watch the fireworks from the breakfast room which was great viewing. Too bad they cannot get the soundtrack piped in too. Overall I liked this hotel and would recommend it. Just don't forget your wallet when you get anywhere near the Disney Resort!!!! And if you are a fan of Zankou Chicken, there is one located about 5-7 miles away.

Rooms are small. Need renovations. Stay here if you don't mind a lot of noise from automobile and foot traffic. Lots of families stay here too...so be aware of children that have consumed lots of sugar and are way too tired. Location is great...lots of places to eat in the vicinity.

The $5 a day for parking fee! Continental breakfast was disgusting, tasted like the food had been out for days! the linens were supposebly clean just stained! and the housekeeping stole a maui jim glasses case which only had regular seeing glasses in them! terrible place to stay , only convenience is they are accross the street from disney and that does not give them the right to be so unclean! The Pool could barely fit in 6 people and was not clean!
