In this day of mindless standardization, when "no surprises" has been taken to the dull extreme, the Radisson Hotel in Scranton is a standout. Its lobby with all the original marble and mosaics from the old train station is a setting of beauty and fascination. Yet our room had everything modern we could wish for--space, a great bathroom and a wonderful bed. The staff was terrific--friendly and upbeat--and the food in the restaurant was delicious and innovative. We'll definitely go back.

We were only in town one night. We took the Lacawana Coal Mine tour and then had planned on walking around Scranton. Unfortunately it poured down rain all day and we just spent most of the time in our room watching TV. Love the History of the building and enjoyed dinner at the Irish Pub across the street.

I would have to say the place was beautiful. Dinner at Carmen's was pricey yet delicious. I was not impressed with the sleep number bed. Too tired to figure out what number suited me and by morning my back was sore..and they charged us to park at their facility...Go figure!!!!!

4 night stay. We gave a cocktail reception in lobby lounge . This hotel is a renovated 1900s Lackawanna train station with all the charm and elegance of that era. A wonderful venue to entertain. Our room was spacious. Catering and all other staff was professional and accommodating. Sunday Brunch was outstanding. Centrally located in downtown, many destinations were within walking distance. This was our second time returning to this hotel and we will stay there again. We would highly recommend this hotel to others. We give this hotel 4 stars.
