Our stay did not begin well.We reserved 2 rooms & asked to be near. Our friend's room was in the center of the 3rd floor - ours was on the farthest end. There were papers and tissues on the floor outside our room. Inside and we could not adjust it. We called twice for assistance. Finally the guest clerk came and moved us to a room next to our friend, This room was fine. In the originaL room, I pulled the drape and discovered that it looked out onto a barren area that had old discarded furniture - that was the view. I asked the clerk if she had ever seen this room - when she did she declaed it out of service. We had dinner in the dining room. They were very short staffed and the waiter did his best. We did not get the drinks we ordered - but this was fixed and taken off the bill. The food was ok and the waiter again did his best. There is a breakfast buffet - but I would recommend ordering off the menu. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful.
The room was not updated, as pictures showed.10/05/2012

The Adam's Mark is likely the largest hotel in downtown Buffalo, and has a lovely lobby and restaurant area to welcome guests. Those areas had recently been renovated, and we were under the assumption that all rooms had been, as well. We sadly learned that this is not the case. We were placed in a room that was severely outdated, and was a major disappointment, considering we had planned on staying in rooms that we saw pictures of online. I had never done this before, but I went to the front desk and requested a room change. The receptionist was very friendly, and clicked around in the computer to try and find an opening, but given the multiple conferences being held there that weekend, all rooms were full except for on our final night. We were told we'd be stuck in that room for now, but could always swap out later. By the time our last night came, we simply didn't care to deal with packing up and settling back in somewhere else. The quality of the room was VERY disappointing. The location of Adam's Mark is also less than desirable. Yes, you can walk to the waterfront, which is lovely, but to get anywhere else downtown, you have to cross major, pedestrian unfriendly traffic lanes. Any of the truly walkable, pleasant neighborhoods in Buffalo are a bike or cab ride away, as opposed to a few of the other city hotels. Possibly as annoying as the outdated room was the fact that the hotel charges for parking. I am almost positive that no other Buffalo hotel charges for parking, but at Adam's Mark it's $10 night, which adds up if you stay long enough! As far as hotel common areas, they differ greatly. The restaurant and bar area have been updated wonderfully, but the pool and outdoor patio area were absolutely disgusting. The moment we stepped into the pool area, I was disgusted by the filthy floors and bits of "stuff" seen sitting at the bottom of the pool. It was a disappointing stay, to say the least. However, we did not go to Buffalo to sit in the hotel room, as there is plenty to take advantage of in this wonderful city. It just would have been nice to be able to lay our heads somewhere nice at night.
Go elsewhere!! i was there from 8/7/12 thru 8/11/12 for a yearly youth conference. last year they said the hotel was under renovation. well they sure ...

The price was the cheapest for the time we were in town, but the location is in the middle of no where. Parking is $10 a day and because of the neighborhood you have no other options. The room was average. The first day we arrived there was huge cobwebb by the tv and floss on the floor. The toilet didn't flush all the way and the shower would drain painfully slow. The staff cleaned our room the first day we were there but not the rest of our four day stay. We phoned the front desk for some clean towels which were delivered right away. Overall shell out a couple extra bucks and stay somewhere else.
